Ariba is also able to transition simply and non-disruptively from one configuration to another, while assuring that performance and storage efficiency are appropriately balanced, 3PAR added. Compared to Ariba?s previous storage environment, the company has dramatically reduced costs with 3PAR Utility Storage, according to Ariba of Sunnyvale, California. The simplicity of InServ has resulted in a significant reduction in storage administration effort, Ariba said. After deploying 3PAR Utility Storage, storage is no longer a bottleneck for Ariba, as the data is spread evenly across systems resources like disks, processors and loops, 3PAR said. Ariba has also boosted service levels through data recoverability.
