Making the right click online

Although it is typically not dangerous, it can cause your system to run more slowly by sapping resources or slowing down your Internet connection. The most dangerous type is known as a key logger, which can steal passwords and other sensitive information. The third type is spam. It is the most benign of these invasive threats, but it is and likely will continue to be a ubiquitous annoyance. It usually arrives in your email in-basket promising everything from enhanced sexual prowess or dimensions to miracle cures and financial windfalls. Best plan is to ignore the message, sending it directly to the delete bin. There are four major ways to help protect you, your computer and your data from malware and other invasive threats: anti-virus software, a firewall program and anti-spyware and antispam software… Free (yes, it’s free!) for close to a decade with virtually no problems. The second type of protection is a firewall program. This is a type of software that monitors all input and output ports on your computer and aims to block unauthorized communication between your PC and another. Again, there is no shortage of firewall options available to PC users, both commercial and freeware. Microsoft released a firewall program for Windows XP users a few years back and that program now comes installed in all flavours of Windows Vista. It works quite well, but my preference is still Checkpoint (formerly Zone Labs) Zone Alarm Free Edition.
